FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why is my vape oil changing colour?

It is normal for your vape oil to change colour with use. As extract is heated it will become darker. Since terpene rich extract is thick and doesn't blend, you will notice darker patches of oil appearing.

This does not impact the taste or effect of your vape.

What is Flavoured Cured Resin?

Cannabis resin describes the sticky glands of the cannabis plant and the cannabinoids and terpenes that come with them which together produce the entourage effect.

Dried cannabis is cold-temp hydrocarbon extracted into oil that retains the full-spectrum of cannabinoids and terpenes that are unique to each strain.

Zyre uses a proprietary blend of this oil and distillate and botanical terpenes to create a balanced flavoured cured resin vape cartridge.

What is the difference between Zyre’s cured resin vapes and other company’s vapes?

Cured resin maintains the character of the originating cannabis to retain the effect and the whole plant benefits. This entourage effect creates a long-lasting and consistent effect that is distinct to the underlying strain.

Distillate and other types of vapes use extraction methods that strip away the plant leaving only the THC, the cannabinoid that makes people high. The rest of the plant characteristics are lost including the features that make the effect distinct,  long-lasting and consistent. These products provide a singularly THC high-potency high without retaining the underlying holistic properties of the original cannabis plant.

What are Terpenes?

Terpenes are naturally occurring compounds with distinct aromas and flavours that are found in many fruits and plants. Cannabis has a particularly high concentration of terpenes.

Terpenes may also offer some health benefits to the human body. Studies are continuing to measure the entourage effect, the combined benefits one gets when a full-spectrum of cannabinoids and terpenes are present in products like cured resin.

What are cannabinoids?

A cannabis plant can contain more than 100 cannabinoids with the most famous being THC and CBD. Studies have shown the health benefits of some types of cannabinoids and there are ongoing studies and anecdotal information supporting the benefit of cannabinoids and terpenes when taken together, known as the entourage effect.

How many times can I use my vape?

A 1g vape should give you 250-350 draws depending on the length of your pulls. Assuming that you get 300 draws and you take 5 draws each session, there would be 60 uses. If 3 people got together and used the vape 2 times a week, it would last over 2 months.

How are Zyre vapes flavoured?

We sourced our custom-formulated terpene blend from a local BC company who makes our small-batch flavours to order. After the cannabis is extracted into cured resin, we combine this terpene blend with the cured resin to come up with our proprietary Zyre flavoured cured resin vapes.

What is the shelf life of my vape?

There is no single answer to this. However there are risks of leaking or clogging on the cartridge. Also light, heat and time will start degrading the cannabinoids. When cannabinoids begin to degrade the expected effects can change and a product that used to be a great sidekick to upbeat activities could suddenly make you drowsy and sleepy. Finally like any oil, the resin can start going rancid over time.

We encourage people to store their vapes around room temperature (18-20 degrees) away from sunlight. And to aim to use their vapes by 6 months after purchase.
